UPEACE Somalia celebrated its 5th Graduation ceremony, 2026, on International Day of Education, January 24th. Notable at this graduation large number of international students graduating from UPEACE Somalia, with Masters and PhD students coming from 8 different countries. This reversal from the recent past when students would have to leave Somalia confirms UPEACE Somalia as a regional and international centre for higher education. The event was attended by political, civil society and educational VIPs with H. E. Hamza Abdi Barre, Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, the special guest.
