The first Graduation of UPEACE Somalia established UPEACE as a new influence for peace and development in the country, complementing the diplomatic, political and international communities that have been active in the country for decades. Acknowledging the achievement of this first graduation, the event was attended by the Special Representative to Somalia of the UN Secretary General, Somali Ministers and other politicians, and the Dean of UPEACE. The graduation was held on September 21st, the International Day of Peace.
